Flanking the central device, the legend reads 'SEMPRE ALERTA • SEMPRE PRONTO' — the two Portuguese translations of Baden-Powell's motto 'Be Prepared', attributed respectively to the two principal Scouting organisations of Portugal — arcing above the motif. The designer's name, PEDRO CARVALHO, appears to the left of the device, while the date 2025 and the issuing country name PORTUGAL are inscribed below; the national coat of arms of Portugal and the Casa da Moeda mintmark are positioned to the right. The outer ring carries the twelve stars of the European Union flag. |
