Beschrijving voorzijde The inner core features a fleur-de-lis, the universal symbol of the Scouting movement, rendered in the centre of the field. Flanking the central device, the legend reads 'SEMPRE ALERTA • SEMPRE PRONTO' — the two Portuguese translations of Baden-Powell's motto 'Be Prepared', attributed respectively to the two principal Scouting organisations of Portugal — arcing above the motif. The designer's name, PEDRO CARVALHO, appears to the left of the device, while the date 2025 and the issuing country name PORTUGAL are inscribed below; the national coat of arms of Portugal and the Casa da Moeda mintmark are positioned to the right. The outer ring carries the twelve stars of the European Union flag.

Beschrijving keerzijde The standard reverse design for the 2 Euro denomination of the eurozone, as designed by Luc Luycx, features a geographical representation of Europe spanning both the inner core and the outer ring on the right side of the coin. The bold denomination '2 EURO' is superimposed across the map, with the numeral '2' set in the open field to the left, representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Twelve stars of the European Union are disposed along the right arc of the outer ring, six above and six below the map, with six vertical relief lines crossing the inner core to visually link the two groups of stars. The designer's initials 'LL' appear in the lower right field of the inner core.
