| Obverse description | The inner core features a fleur-de-lis, the universal symbol of the Scouting movement, rendered in the centre of the field. Flanking the central device, the legend reads 'SEMPRE ALERTA • SEMPRE PRONTO' — the two Portuguese translations of Baden-Powell's motto 'Be Prepared', attributed respectively to the two principal Scouting organisations of Portugal — arcing above the motif.
