| Descrizione del dritto | The inner disc features a stylised depiction of the cave passages of Postojna Cave (Postojnska Jama), rendered as a series of spiralling concentric arched lines evoking the cave's famous winding galleries, with a small human figure visible at the centre to convey the vast scale of the cavern. The design, engraved by Matevž Zalar, is executed in a bold, graphic style. The curved legend along the left and lower field reads 'POSTOJNSKA JAMA·1213-2013·SLOVENIJA', commemorating the 800th anniversary of the cave's first recorded visit. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union. |
