Reverse description The standard reverse design for the 2 Euro denomination, designed by Luc Luycx, features a geographical relief map of Western Europe spanning both the inner core and the right portion of the outer ring. The bold numeral '2' is positioned in the open field representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean, with the inscription 'EURO' to its right superimposed over the map. Six vertical lines traverse the inner core, visually linking the upper and lower segments. Twelve stars of the European Union are arranged on the outer ring, six above and six below the map, with the mint mark 'LL' (Luc Luycx's initials) incorporated into the design.
