| 背面描述 | The reverse displays the standard 2 euro reverse design by Luc Luycx, featuring the large numeral '2' to the left of centre within the bimetallic inner disc. To the right, a map of Europe is rendered in relief, showing the continental landmass with national borders indicated. The denomination legend 'EURO' appears across the map in the central field. Twelve stars of the European Union are arranged around the outer copper-nickel ring, with the designer's initials 'LL' visible near the map. |

Henri I — not to be confused with the reigning Grand Duke Henri — was Count of Luxembourg in the late eleventh century and is credited with elevating the county's status through a series of strategic dynastic marriages and territorial consolidations. Luxembourg's euro commemorative program has made a habit of reaching deep into medieval history for subjects, partly because the dynasty's continuity from that period to the present House of Nassau-Weilburg is a point of genuine national emphasis. This coin was issued under the "Rulers of Luxembourg" series, which the Grand Duchy uses to cycle through historical figures across multiple years.
Mintage was capped at 1 million pieces, placing it among the more conservatively produced Luxembourgish €2 commemoratives.
