Obverse description The obverse depicts the common commemorative design issued by all Eurozone member states for the 10th anniversary of Euro cash, featuring a stylised euro symbol at the centre rendered as a globe surrounded by radiating lines and various symbolic figures representing everyday life and economic activity. Buildings, people, and infrastructure motifs surround the central globe, evoking the integration of European society. The legend LËTZEBUERG arcs along the upper portion of the inner circle, while the commemorative dates 2002 and 2012 are inscribed in the lower field. Twelve stars of the European Union appear on the outer copper-nickel ring.
