| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays the standard European 2 euro cent design by Luc Luycx, featuring the large numeral '2' occupying the left portion of the field. To the right, the inscription 'EURO CENT' appears above a globe rendered in outline form with a cartographic depiction of Europe prominently shown. Diagonal parallel lines radiate from the globe toward the upper right, evoking a sense of motion and unity. Six five-pointed stars are arranged in an arc at the lower left and six more at the upper right, representing the member states of the European Union. The designer's initials 'LL' appear discreetly within the design. |

Bulgaria has been an EU member since 2007 but has not yet adopted the euro; these coins are struck in advance under eurozone accession preparation protocols, legal to produce but not yet legal tender anywhere. The Bulgarian euro coin designs were formally approved by the European Commission years before a confirmed adoption date existed.
