| Obverse description | The obverse features the Vytis, the historic mounted knight emblem of Lithuania, depicted in right-facing profile as an armored knight on a rearing horse, brandishing a sword aloft in his right hand and bearing a shield charged with a double cross on his left arm. The design occupies the central field, engraved in high relief with fine heraldic detail. The inscription 'LIETUVA' appears in the lower exergue in bold Latin lettering, while the year of issue is positioned to the right of the knight. Twelve five-pointed stars, symbolic of the European Union, encircle the design along the outer border. |
