正面描述 Intaglio portrait of King Sobhuza II in traditional Swazi attire at left, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint in ochre and rose tones. At centre, a circular guilloche vignette carries the denomination numeral '2' with the Siswati inscription 'LAMABILI EMALANGENI' surrounding it, flanked by crossed spears and a lion passant at lower left; to the right, a vignette of the Swaziland parliament building with an elephant at its base. The issuer legend 'CENTRAL BANK OF SWAZILAND' and legal tender clause appear at top, with two facsimile signatures below labelled 'MINISTER FOR FINANCE' and 'GOVERNOR'.

变体 P#8a - signatures: Simelane & Oliver
P#8b - signatures: Dlamini & Oliver
备注

The P#8 series was introduced as Swaziland transitioned away from the South African rand peg — the country had maintained rand-at-par circulation for years before the lilangeni was pushed as a fully independent instrument. Two signatories appear across the series: Simelane paired with Oliver, then Dlamini with Oliver, reflecting a governor-level change between 1983 and 1984. H.B.B. Oliver, as Deputy Governor, bridges both administrations, which is why his signature anchors both combinations.
