| 正面铭文 | XVièmes CHORALIES A COEUR JOIE 4-12 AOUT 1995 |
| 背面描述 | The central field features a stylised human face rendered in a dotted stipple technique, overlaid with fragments of musical scores bearing lyrics. Additional staves with notes are scattered across the field. The denomination '2 ECUS' appears in large numerals and letters to the upper right. A ring of twelve five-pointed stars frames the upper portion of the design within the beaded border, referencing the European community. The inscription 'VAISON-LA-ROMAINE' curves along the lower rim. |

À Cœur Joie, the Lyon-based choral federation founded in 1945 by César Geoffray, issued this piece to mark the XVth Choralies — the triennial choral festival held at Vaison-la-Romaine in the Vaucluse. The Choralies routinely draws tens of thousands of amateur singers from across the francophone world, making it one of the largest participatory choral gatherings in Europe. This ecu denomination places it squarely within the wave of regional and associative currency-adjacent tokens that proliferated in France during the early 1990s alongside enthusiasm for the theoretical ECU ahead of Maastricht ratification.
