| Description de l’avers | Central field features the crowned royal cypher of Christian IV of Denmark, comprising an interlaced 'C4' monogram surmounted by an elaborate royal crown, all within an inner beaded circle. The surrounding legend reads QVID NON PRO RELIGIO with the date 1627, separated by pellets, running clockwise along the outer margin between the beaded border and the coin's milled rim. The design is rendered in high relief characteristic of early seventeenth-century German hammered gold coinage. |

| Description du revers | Central field displays a quartered heraldic shield of eight-fold arms surmounted by an ornate foliate crown, the quarters bearing alternating lions passant and fleurs-de-lis representing the various territorial claims of the issuer, all set within a beaded inner circle. The circumferential legend, running clockwise and separated by pellets, reads MONE REGIS DAN NOR VICAR PHI REIN C S, abbreviating the titles of Philip Reinhard as Vicar of the King of Denmark and Norway and Count of Solms. The relief work displays the robust, slightly irregular character typical of hammered gold ducats of the early Thirty Years' War period. |
