| Obverse description | Elaborate quartered coat of arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, surmounted by a archbishop's galero (wide-brimmed ecclesiastical hat) with pendant tassels on both sides, and topped by a processional cross. The shield displays the traditional heraldic divisions of Salzburg including the lion and the fess, set within a baroque cartouche. The circumferential legend reads the archbishop's title in abbreviated Latin, encircling the entire composition. |

| Reverse description | Saint Rudbertus, patron saint and first bishop of Salzburg, depicted enthroned facing forward in full pontifical vestments including mitre and cope, with a nimbus behind his head. He holds a salt barrel in his left arm and a crozier in his right hand, the latter being his traditional attributes. The date 1735 appears in the upper field, and the surrounding legend identifies him as Bishop of Salzburg. The composition is rendered in a refined baroque style with fine drapery detail. |
