Obverse description Armored bust of Karl X Gustav, King of Sweden, facing right, wearing a cuirass with visible plate armor detailing and a laurel wreath upon his head. The effigy is rendered in a bold, high-relief hammered style characteristic of mid-17th century German goldsmith work. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading CAROLVS. X. GVSTAVVS. D. G. REX. SVEC., identifying the king by name and title.
