| Beschrijving voorzijde | Two crowned and draped busts facing one another in the centre of the field, rendered in the late medieval hammered style characteristic of Netherlandish municipal gold coinage. The left bust faces right and the right bust faces left, both wearing open crowns with fleurs-de-lis and jewelled bands. A small mintmaster's mark appears between the busts in the lower field. The peripheral legend, rendered in Gothic uncial characters, runs continuously around the circumference within a beaded border, reading in the name of the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered royal arms of Castile and León, comprising castles and lions in alternating quarters, surmounted by a displayed eagle as crest with spread wings flanking the shield on either side, all rendered in bold relief typical of hammered gold coinage. The shield is set within the field without an inner circle, framed by the sweeping wings of the eagle. A continuous Latin legend in Gothic uncial script encircles the design within a beaded border, bearing the pious motto referencing divine protection. |
