Obverse description Central field bears the Arms of Guernsey: a shield displaying three leopards passant guardant in pale on a vertically lined field, surmounted by a sprig of leaves serving as a crest. The shield is set within a plain inner border, with a continuous beaded outer border encircling the entire design. The legend GUERNESEY is inscribed in bold raised letters along the lower arc of the coin.

Reverse description The reverse presents the denomination in three lines across the central field: the large numeral 2 at the top, followed by DOUBLES in the centre, and the date 1902 below, with the Heaton mint mark H appearing in small characters beneath the date near the bottom of the inner field.
