| Obverse description | Draped bust of Honoré II, Prince of Monaco, facing right, with long flowing hair. The effigy is rendered in the baroque portrait style characteristic of mid-17th century hammered coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust within a beaded inner border. The portrait displays considerable relief typical of hammered gold coinage of this period. |
