| Reverse description | A prowling tiger is depicted in high relief, rendered in finely detailed sculptural style, advancing with lowered head toward the viewer across a rocky foreground. Behind the tiger, a traditional Chinese architectural gateway and pagoda-style rooftops rise in the left background, while craggy mountain peaks fill the right field, evoking the classical imagery of the Chinese lunar zodiac. The denomination '$2' appears in the lower field beneath the central design. |

Singapore's lunar series coins are legal tender but produced primarily for the collector market, with the Monetary Authority issuing them in both base metal and precious metal versions each Chinese New Year cycle. The 2022 Tiger issue marks the beginning of the third repetition of the twelve-year zodiac sequence in Singapore's commemorative coinage program, which started in 1984.
