Beschrijving keerzijde A highly detailed three-dimensional sculptural depiction of a pelican in full frontal stance, its wings dramatically spread to either side and rendered with fine feather detailing against a richly engraved and enamelled black background featuring foliate and floral motifs. A small chick stands at the pelican's feet in an attitude of supplication, evoking the classical heraldic 'pelican in her piety' motif. A faceted red Swarovski crystal in a teardrop setting is suspended from the pelican's breast, flanked by two additional clear Swarovski crystals set into the field. Heraldic eagle supporters surmounted by crowns flank the lower composition, and a pelican-with-nest device appears engraved in the upper field. The legend 'IMPERIAL FABERGÉ EGGS' arcs across the upper periphery.
