| 裏面の説明 | High-relief portrait bust of Czech football legend Pavel Nedvěd facing slightly left, with long hair, occupying the majority of the field. The left portion of the field bears the inscriptions identifying the subject and his title, while the right portion features a contrasting black-enamelled or darkened segment inscribed with the tournament location and year. His facsimile signature appears in the lower central field, accompanied by the silver fineness mark. The composition is divided diagonally between the polished relief portrait area and the darkened inscribed segment, creating a striking two-tone effect. |

Niue has operated a prolific licensed coin program since the 1990s, issuing legal tender silver pieces under agreements that generate revenue for the island territory while the coins themselves are destined entirely for the collector market. This particular issue commemorates Pavel Nedvěd, the Czech midfielder who won the Ballon d'Or in 2003 — one of the few players to win it without playing for a Spanish or English club that season, doing so while at Juventus.
Nedvěd's award came the year after he missed the Champions League final through suspension, having been booked in the semifinal against Real Madrid.
