| Obverse description | The obverse of this rectangular gold piece features a right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II at center, rendered in high relief against a contrasting black-toned field on the left half, with a polished mirror-like gold field to the right. The Christogram 'IHS' surmounted by a cross appears at the top of the coin within a decorative cartouche, flanked by a rope-twist border framing the entire rectangular flan.
