To his left, rendered in antique silver relief, is a dramatic naval battle scene depicting sailing warships of the line engaged in combat at the Battle of Trafalgar, with sails torn and vessels in distress upon turbulent seas. The legend TRAFALGAR · 1805 arcs along the upper portion of the field in bold raised lettering. The fineness inscription 1 oz .999 FINE SILVER appears along the lower field beneath the battle scene.
