Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted in right-facing bust wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, with fine detail in the hair and jewellery. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear below the truncation. The circumferential legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' to the left and 'AUSTRALIA' to the right, with the date '1999' positioned at lower right.
