| Beschrijving keerzijde | A colourfully pad-printed depiction of the Royal Australian Air Force badge occupies the upper portion of the field. Below, a detailed scene illustrates peacekeeping operations, featuring a Royal Australian Air Force transport aircraft airborne and a second aircraft on the ground engaged in the delivery of humanitarian supplies, with an airman prominently positioned in the foreground. The reverse legend arcs around the design identifying the series and denomination, while the date, fineness, and weight appear in the lower field. |

Issued to mark Australia's contribution to peacekeeping operations, this coin belongs to a three-part series released by the Perth Mint covering the Army, Navy, and Air Force respectively. The pad-printing technique — a form of industrial ink transfer borrowed from commercial manufacturing — was still relatively novel in numismatic applications in 2005, allowing the RAAF roundel and associated colour elements to be applied with a precision that enamel or traditional colouring methods couldn't reliably achieve at this scale.
