Reverse description The reverse presents a richly detailed multi-scene composition commemorating the Kelly Gang's raid on Jerilderie, 6–8 February 1879. A central colorized vignette depicts a dramatic confrontation scene from the raid, surrounded by engraved representations of five key historic locations: Jerilderie's Court House, Jerilderie's Former Police Stable, Samuel Rea's Blacksmith, the Royal Mail Hotel, and the Post and Telegraph Office, each identified by incuse labels within the field. The principal legend THE KELLY GANG'S RAID ON JERILDERIE and the date 6 - 8 FEBRUARY 1879 appear in gilt lettering across the upper arc, while the famous attributed quotation 'Throw up your hands, I'm Ned Kelly' is inscribed in gilt along the lower arc. The denomination TWO DOLLARS is rendered in the exergue.
