| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a highly detailed, high-relief scene depicting Sir Perceval, Knight of the Round Table, in full medieval plate armour, striding dynamically across a coiled dragon in the lower field. The knight raises a sword aloft with his right hand and bears a heraldic shield decorated with a cross and ermine charges in his left. A distressed female figure, partially entwined in the dragon's serpentine body, reaches out from the left, while to the right a serene female figure holds aloft the Holy Grail beside a recumbent lion. Radiating lines in the background field create a dramatic sunburst effect. Spencer Perceval remains the only British Prime Minister ever assassinated, shot in the lobby of the House of Commons on 11 May 1812 by a bankrupt merchant named John Bellingham, who had a personal grievance against the government over an unresolved compensation claim. Niue's licensing arrangements with the Perth and other mints have made it one of the more prolific issuing authorities for commemorative silver in the modern market — its sovereignty providing the legal framework while production and distribution occur entirely offshore.
