Antigua Guitar Company built its first Stratocaster-style instruments in the late 1970s using a distinctive antique white-to-brown sunburst finish that gave the brand its name. Fender's lawsuit era sent many smaller manufacturers scrambling, and Antigua quietly folded before the decade ended, leaving its short production run as the primary collector interest today.
