| Obverse description | The obverse is struck in the form of the rear view of the Mystery Machine van, shaped as an irregular hexagon. In the upper field, three characters from the Scooby-Doo animated franchise are depicted in high relief seated inside the van: Velma Dinkley at left wearing glasses, Daphne Blake at centre, and Fred Jones at right. The lower portion of the van body features the Public Seal of Niue within a raised circular cartouche, flanked by stylised flower motifs at either side. The denomination TWO DOLLARS arcs above the seal, the date 2024 appears below it, and the copyright legend SCOOBY-DOO and all related characters and elements © & TM HB. | Reverse description | The reverse presents a vibrant full-colour scene viewed through the open rear of the Mystery Machine van, rendered in the classic Hanna-Barbera animated style. Shaggy Rogers is depicted at right, crouching in a green shirt and red trousers, enthusiastically eating an ice cream cone. The van interior is rendered in grey-blue tones, with the distinctive yellow-green side panels of the Mystery Machine visible at the edges of the field. The scene encapsulates the comedic gluttony associated with the two characters in the original animated series. |
