| 正面描述 | Bare-headed effigy of King Mohammed VI facing three-quarters left, rendered in high relief within a plain inner circle set against a flat field. Arabic legend reading 'The Kingdom of Morocco' curves along the upper left, while the royal name 'Muhammad the Sixth' appears in the lower right field. The portrait is naturalistically styled, capturing the king's features with fine detail. |

Mohammed VI had been on the throne for just three years when this issue was struck, having inherited power following the death of Hassan II in July 1999. The transition prompted a modest redesign program across Moroccan coinage — not a complete overhaul, but enough to establish the new reign's visual identity before the 2002 dated series entered circulation.
The copper-nickel alloy used here was already well-established in Moroccan fractional coinage by this point, having replaced bimetallic and aluminum-bronze options in earlier decades as the dirham system stabilized post-decimilization in 1974.
