The names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali — are distributed one between each lobe of the quatrefoil. An infinite knot device occupies the center, and a grenetis borders the design, consistent with Ilkhanid religious coin iconography. |
