Reverse description The Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith) is inscribed on two lines in the central field within a beaded circle, with the text continuing around the perimeter within each sector of a projecting quatrefoil cartouche inscribed in a circle. The names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali — are distributed one between each lobe of the quatrefoil. An infinite knot device occupies the center, and a grenetis borders the design, consistent with Ilkhanid religious coin iconography.
