| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by the interlaced royal SA cypher of Sigismund Augustus, rendered in Gothic style with the letters elegantly intertwined. The monogram is surmounted by a royal crown of elaborate form. The date is divided by the monogram, with the first two digits appearing to the left and the last two to the right of the device, reading 1566 on this example. No surrounding legend is present; the design fills the irregularly shaped flan to its edges. |
