Descripción del anverso	Central vignette of the Colonial Church of Panchimalco set against a multicolour guilloche underprint, with the denomination numeral repeated in all four corners and spelled out in letters flanking the vignette and along the lower margin. Series letters and serial numbers appear in black at upper right and lower left, with the serial number also printed in red; three signature lines for Director, Presidente, and Gerente are positioned below the central vignette. Coloured security fibres run vertically through the central portion of the note from top to bottom edge.

Descripción del reverso	Portrait bust of Christopher Columbus occupies the central vignette, flanked by the Salvadoran coat of arms at right and the issuer's circular seal at left, all set within a multicolour guilloche border. The denomination numeral appears in all four corners and on both lateral margins, with the value in letters placed below the central vignette; the issuer's name runs along the upper margin and the printer's imprint is at the bottom. Place and date are printed below the coat of arms, with a signature appearing to the upper right of the central group.
