Descrizione del dritto	The obverse is printed in black on light paper with a red-orange underprint. To the left, an intaglio vignette presents a bust portrait of Christopher Columbus in left profile. The centre of the note carries a large guilloche rosette enclosing the numeral '2', flanked by the denomination text 'DOS COLONES' below. To the right, the national coat of arms of Costa Rica appears within a circular cartouche. The heading 'REPÚBLICA DE COSTA RICA' is set across the top in bold letterpress, with the certifying legend and payability clause inscribed in smaller text above and below the central vignette.
