| Obverse description | Central field bears the Mexican national arms depicting an eagle displayed in left profile, perched upon a cactus plant and clutching a serpent in its beak and talons, set upon a wreath of laurel and oak. The circumferential legend reads REPUBLICA MEXICANA, disposed around the upper periphery, with the date 1915 appearing in the lower exergual area. The design is rendered in a somewhat primitive, boldly struck style characteristic of provincial revolutionary-era emergency coinage. |

| Reverse description | The central field displays the large numeral 2, flanked by the denomination indicators C. to the left and S. to the right, denoting 2 centavos. The surrounding circumferential legend, separated from the central device by a beaded inner border, reads TETELA DEL ORO Y OCAMPO E. PUE., identifying the issuing municipality of Tetela del Oro y Ocampo in the state of Puebla. The lettering is irregularly spaced and crudely engraved, consistent with the improvised nature of this Revolutionary period local currency. |
