| Описание реверса | Crude hammered field bearing a Tamil inscription in multiple lines, identifying the mint of issue as Negapatnam. The legend is arranged horizontally across the flan in Tamil script, rendered in a rough, utilitarian style consistent with the low-denomination cash coinage produced at this factory. The characters are bold and deeply impressed into the irregular copper flan. The overall workmanship reflects the practical nature of small-denomination coinage intended for local circulation in the Coromandel Coast region. |

| Дополнительная информация |
The VOC established its mint at Negapatnam — on the Coromandel Coast of present-day Tamil Nadu — after seizing the port from the Portuguese in 1658. Cash coinage was essential for small transactions in the local economy, where indigenous copper issues had long dominated petty trade. The Dutch were essentially forcing their way into a denomination structure they hadn't invented and couldn't easily displace.
