Reverse description The reverse presents a central circular field containing large interlaced Arabic calligraphy denoting the mint name and Hijri date, framed within an elaborate arabesque cartouche of scrolling vegetal ornament. This central medallion is itself surrounded by a broad border of repeating teardrop-shaped bosses alternating with small pellets, echoing the obverse border treatment. The overall composition is purely epigraphic, with no figurative imagery, consistent with Islamic numismatic convention. The milled outer rim reinforces the coin's irregular but generally round flan.
