The reverse is dominated by a central oval vignette containing an intaglio view of the Kabul Independence Monument (Minaret of Knowledge and Ignorance), framed by fine lathe-work borders and ornate corner medallions. The numeral 2 appears in Western and Arabic script at left and right within scrollwork cartouches. Three lines of Farsi text in a ruled panel below the vignette state the note's legal tender status and issuing authority, printed in dark blue against a pink guilloche underprint. A decorative red snowflake rosette appears in the upper right corner. |
