| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious legend rendered in bold nasta'liq script, arranged in horizontal registers. The Shi'a kalima or invocation fills the primary area of the die, with the characteristic bold strokes of hand-engraved Zand-period calligraphy. A floral and foliate border of stylized arabesque motifs encircles the entire field, typical of Zand Dynasty coinage. The overall design is characteristic of the Type C series struck under Karim Khan Zand, with deeply incised lettering set against a flat, unadorned field. |

| Reverse description | Three horizontal registers of Arabic nasta'liq script fill the central field, bearing the mint name, regnal titles of Karim Khan Zand, and the AH date. The legends are arranged in parallel lines across the die, with the mint name Māzandarān and the regnal year appearing in the lower register. A continuous foliate border of stylized floral ornaments frames the inscriptions, consistent with Zand Dynasty hammered coinage. The script displays the fluid, cursive character typical of Iranian provincial mint engraving of the late eighteenth century. |
