| Aversbeschreibung | Central field features a bold, stylized typographic rendering of the name 'NEJAT UYGUR' in large decorative letters, overlaid with a dynamic figurative scene depicting a Karagöz shadow puppet character in traditional pose, evoking classical Turkish folk theatre. Below the central design, the birth and death years '1927 - 2013' are inscribed, with the mint year '2020' and the Turkish State Mint monogram appearing beneath. The Turkish crescent and star emblem is positioned at the top of the coin above the inner border. The circumferential legend reads 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' on the left and 'REPUBLIC OF TURKEY' on the right, with the denomination '• 2,5 Türk Lirası •' inscribed along the lower border. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
Nejat Uygur (1927–2015) was one of Turkey's most celebrated comedic actors and theater directors, whose career in Istanbul's Küçük Sahne spanned decades and whose work defined a particular strain of Turkish satirical comedy. This issue is part of the Turkish State Mint's ongoing commemorative series honoring figures from Turkish cultural and artistic life — a program that has accelerated noticeably since the mid-2010s.
Nordic Gold, the aluminum-bronze alloy used by the European Central Bank for euro cent coinage, was adopted by several mints for commemoratives owing to its resistance to tarnishing and distinctive warm color without the cost of actual gold content.
