| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features a bold centrepiece commemorative logo incorporating the numeral '100' with the zero stylised as the Turkish crescent and star emblem, flanking the inscription 'İSTİKLAL MARŞI'NIN 100. YILI' within the central design. The founding year '1921' appears to the left and the issue year '2021' to the right of the motif. The bilingual legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ · REPUBLIC OF TURKEY' arcs around the upper periphery, separated by the crescent and star device at the apex. Four lines of verse from the İstiklal Marşı (Turkish National Anthem) are inscribed in the lower field in italic script, followed by the mint year '2021' and the denomination '· 2,5 Türk Lirası ·' along the lower rim. This piece belongs to a Turkish commemorative series marking the centenary of national events leading to the proclamation of the Republic in 1923. The "Independence Anthem" subject refers to İstiklal Marşı, adopted by the Grand National Assembly on 12 March 1921 — a date now observed as a national holiday. The poem was written by Mehmet Âkif Ersoy, who famously refused any financial reward for it and later requested that it not be included in any of his published collections.
