The denomination 'Zwei Milliarden Mark' is set in large blackletter (Fraktur) typeface at centre, above which the issuing authority 'Stadt- und Landkreis Gelsenkirchen' is inscribed in bold Gothic script. The circular seal of the Stadt Gelsenkirchen appears at left, a second official stamp at right, and two manuscript signatures appear at the foot beneath the printed titles 'Der Oberbürgermeister' and 'Der Kreisausschuß / Kreisdeputierter'; the date 'Gelsenkirchen, den 15. Oktober 1923' and the authorisation clause referencing the Reichsfinanzminister are printed in smaller roman type between the denomination and the signatures. |
