Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in high relief with detailed wavy hair and full beard rendered in the Hellenistic tradition. The effigy occupies the full obverse field with no surrounding legend. The modeling of the facial features displays strong artistic craftsmanship characteristic of Phrygian civic bronze coinage of the late Hellenistic period. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of hammered provincial bronzes of this era.
