| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered with naturalistic detail including a full beard and thick laurel wreath; the portrait occupies the majority of the flan and is executed in a bold, slightly provincial Hellenistic style. The surface of the cheek and jaw is well modelled, with clearly articulated facial features. The neck is visible at the lower right, truncated at the flan edge. |
