A portrait vignette of George Ioan Lahovary faces right in the central-lower register, flanked to the right by a vertical arrangement of five heraldic emblems: the Romanian Post and Telegraph Service, the Universal Postal Union, the Royal Romanian Geographical Society, the Court of Accounts of the United Romanian Principalities, and the Romanian Academy. The anniversary inscription is set above within elaborate guilloche ornamentation, with the serial number printed in red (001–050) or black (051–500). |
