A portrait vignette of George Ioan Lahovary faces right in the central-lower register, flanked to the right by a vertical arrangement of five heraldic emblems: the Romanian Post and Telegraph Service, the Universal Postal Union, the Royal Romanian Geographical Society, the Court of Accounts of the United Romanian Principalities, and the Romanian Academy.
