| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with delicately engraved hair drawn back and bound with a laurel wreath. The portrait displays classically idealized facial features with a straight profile, almond-shaped eye, and slightly parted lips. The neck is bare, and the bust terminates cleanly without drapery. The flan is irregular and slightly rough, characteristic of provincial Mysian bronze coinage of the period. |

Abbaitis was a minor inland district of Phrygia whose civic coinage was struck under the broad tolerance of Pergamene authority during the second century BC, when the Attalid kingdom effectively controlled much of western Anatolia. The region left almost no literary record, making these bronzes among the few material proofs that a functioning civic administration existed there at all.
BMC Greek 9–10 represents the standard reference point, though surviving examples are sparse enough that die studies remain incomplete.
