The style and type are consistent with civic bronze coinage of western Asia Minor during the fourth century BC. |

Tisna was a Lydian city whose civic bronze coinage remains poorly documented in ancient sources, leaving much of what we know about its monetary history dependent on die studies and hoard evidence alone. This type, catalogued in both the Copenhagen and Munich SNG volumes, represents one of the very few bronze issues attributable to the city with any confidence.
