| 正面描述 | Facing bust of Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, depicted wearing a formal jacket with a small decorative pin on the lapel and her hair worn long. A curved Thai-script legend arcs along the left rim, with a second inscription running along the right rim, together identifying the princess by her full royal title. The effigy is executed in a realistic portrait style characteristic of modern Thai commemorative coinage. |

Issued two years after the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in October 2016, this piece belongs to the posthumous commemorative program authorized by the Royal Thai Mint to continue honoring his 70-year reign — the longest of any Thai monarch and, at the time of his death, the longest of any living head of state worldwide. Princess Chulabhorn, the youngest of his three daughters, holds the distinction of being the only Thai royal to have received the Einstein Medal, awarded in 1986 for her contributions to chemical research.
