The upper-left quarter displays a mitre and crosier on a horizontally lined field, representing the Bishop of Urgell; the upper-right quarter bears vertical lines representing the arms of the Count of Foix; the lower-left quarter displays vertical lines for the arms of the Count of Foix; and the lower-right quarter shows three bulls passant on a plain field, representing the arms of the Viscounts of Béarn.
